Adult Autism Social Group. This is geared for folks approx. 18-35 years old with Autism /Aspergers. Jocelyn Lister will be the facilitator. Jocelyn is an experienced speech pathologist and former Spec. Ed. director. The focus of our nights will be on skills and fun---a combination of support that should meet the needs of everyone. We will include jokes and humor, games and riddles, construction and problem solving and some light cooking adventures ( things that can be made with a microwave oven). The cost is $10.00 per session. This will cover the cost of any materials and a light snack for each session.
Meetings are on the first and third Monday of the month from 6:30-8:30 pm (Starting February 15th Meetings are held on the first and third Fridays of the month at 6:30 --8:30) at their Speech Connections Office, located at 57 South River Road in Bedford, NH 03110.

NH Connections, is funded through a grant from the NH Department of Education. The Mission of NH Connections is to strengthen and expand family-school-community partnerships to improve educational outcomes for all children while meeting the unique needs of children and youth with disabilities and to facilitate access to supports and services statewide. The Regional Support Networks are groups of family, school and community members who work together to identify regional needs for training and information to improve results for children, youth and families. Meetings are held the second Wednesday of the month, from 9:00 - 10:30 at the Bedford Safety Complex, 55 Constitution Drive in Bedford. The Southern NH Asperger's Syndrome Meetup Group - We are a group of parents with school age children with Asperger's and other disabilities. Our goal is to be active and to have fun and build friendships for both parents and children. We have activities at least twice a month for the children and we can't forgot Mom's coffee and Mom's night out. The children's events take place on the weekends and the Mom's events are during the week and some on the weekend. We have a large range of ages 4 yrs old up to 15 yrs old all are welcome! We also have a message board to share advice to support one another especially on the really long days that seem like they are never going to end. So come join our group to have laughs and share stories and give and get support from one another. |
